Review Summary

The Michelin Agilis Cross Climate tires are reported to provide a smooth, quiet ride with excellent traction on wet and snowy roads. Many customers noted improved handling and comfort compared to their previous tires. However, some customers experienced issues with the tires picking up stones and premature sidewall cracking, as well as reduced winter performance in severe cold weather. Overall, the tires appear to offer versatile, year-round performance for most drivers.

Excellent tires!!

I installed these Agilis CrossClimate's on my Ford Transit Van @ 120K on odometer and right now I have 280K. So they covered 160K so far and still half tread life on them. Never had any problems on wet pavement and\or snow. Been driving all over 48 states and Canada on these "shoes" and loving it!!! Too bad they don't make them in 255/70/16 size. I got 235/65/16 (original size), but 255/70/16 (it's what MB uses on their Sprinters) would be much more comfortable and my van would be even more stable on the road, cuz of the wider width. Other than that, I'm buying them on my 2021 Transit when time comes, hoping Michelin would make 255/70/16 E1 size for heavy duty trucks/vans. Thank you Michelin for great and safer tires!!!

2020 GMC DURAMAX 3500 CREW CAB 4x4

I’m not sure about the bad reviews on these tires. I put them on my 2009 Duramax dually and liked them so well I had them take the new tires off the 2020 I traded for, put them on my 2009, and install my used Agilis on my new truck. They grip well on every surface I’ve been on. I have around 12k miles on them and they look brand new. Almost 6k of that has been pulling a 20,000 pound 5th wheel with a GCW of just under 30,000 pounds. They are quiet and ride super smooth. I’m wondering if the bad reviews are because these tires are designed for heavier loads. My truck is almost 10k empty and the bad reviews are van installs. I couldn’t be happier with these tires.

Don't last

24172 miles on them pull a 40ft. 5th wheel at 16000lb. and only have 5/32 left on tires. They don't last.

A Big Improvement over the Non-Defender LTX M/S

So while the original LTX M/S tires on our 12,000 lb. motor-home rode & wore well, they could not handle the loads and eventually failed. So these Agilis CrossClimate's replaced them, which to date have exceeded my expectations is all areas. So even though they seem to be a far harder commercial grade tire, they still ride & handle just great, while also being equally quiet. They also perform extremely well in the rain, where I've been able to really push them (as a trial) just to see what they are capable of. So assuming that they wear well, and don't fall apart down the road (especially since it's a commercial grade tire), I'm a very happy camper = I highly recommend them. And just maybe they work well for me, because they are loaded rather heavily, which is exactly why I purchased them, while not expecting all of the other benefits, including snow traction if I ever need it.

Tread wears out quickly

I have these 20” tires on a 2019 Ram 3500 and at 12k Miles on the Agillis tires are worn down to where they need to be replaced. I have done the recommended tire rotation and have kept the proper tire inflation. I run different style Michelin tires on my work trucks and get great milage. I would not purchase these tires.

Not good for commercial van !

We are a group of drivers/friends of 5 that owns Ram ProMaster doing expediting, that means in average 3500 miles per week..most of us used Michelin Defender LTX 225/75/R 16, and 4 of us reached or passed 180,000 miles, except one of our friend that he reached 215,000 but he was rotating weekly and he wasn't put loads over 2,500 lbs on his van, and even we all reached to that unbelievable performance the tires still looks much better than Agilis CrossClimate at 50,000 miles..very disappointing, and if we can't find Defender LTX anymore we going to switch to Firestone Transforce...waste of money and I don't understand why they took it out from the market, maybe because they were way to good for Michelin to make profits

Agilis

I bought these tires to replace the Continental Vanco tires on my 2015 Mercedes Sprinter Winnebago ERA class b rv, the ride is extremely rough( stiff) compared to the Vanco's, especially on NY's horrible potholed and patched roads, turned my smooth cushy riding rv into a dump truck almost rattles the cabinets off the walls, even with the tire psi lowered to 55, they do handle better around corners definitely will not buy this model again.

Gravel throwers

Purchased new set aug 31 it’s sept12 live on a gravel road . Tires throw gravel like crazy . NOT HAPPY! When you pull onto paved road you throw rocks for a mile . Can’t wait till I throw one and take out someone’s windshield.

Treadwear Issues

Currently have 230k miles on my truck, and have had LTX's on the truck ever since replacing the OEM at around 30k miles. I was constantly getting around 50k miles out of a set of tires. I change out the tires to these, and at 27k miles they have to be replaced already. These were more money than the LTX's, but definitely will not be putting these on the truck again.
