High performance

Love these tires on my Integra type S. They ride really smooth, extra grip on cornering and breaking. Everything you would want in a high performance tire. I blow through them in less than 20k miles but that’s a ME problem….

Check the DOT age of your Tires

Check the manufacturer date of the tires! I put low mileage (4000) on this car with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on this garaged car. The tires are almost 5 yrs on car with approx 24000 miles and the tires are showing aging problems. The outer edges of the tires are splitting. The alignment was done about 1.5 years ago. So I checked the DOT age of the tire and realize that the tires were 3 years old when they were sold and installed on the car. Who sells 3 yr old tires. Tire Rack tells you when they sell you old tires and marks them down. That is a reputable company. But not where I bought these tires.

We're sorry to hear about the condition of your Pilot Sport 4 S tires and understand your concerns regarding the DOT manufacturing date. Tires can be sold and installed after being manufactured, provided they have been properly stored, but we understand your concern about the age of the tires at the time of purchase. To better understand the cracking and splitting you've described, we recommend having the tires inspected by an authorized tire dealer. Please contact our Consumer Care team at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST), and provide the inspection results. We'd be happy to assist.

The best tire money can buy

When I tell you I’ll never buy another tire again. I mean it considering what I’ve experienced with these tires. I already knew that these tires were very reliable. Due to me having them on my motorcycle & previous vehicles. But Monday sealed the deal for me. I ran over a collated nails in a construction zone. Totally unaware of it, my tire began to go flat. When I looked at the tire I could only see for nails. But when I took my car to the tire shop & they removed the tire. You could see the actual extent of damage that occurred. And just how well these tires held up, keeping my son & I safe. Needless to say I purchased another set of the same tires with a warranty. I’ll vouch for these tires every single time.

10 Year Old Design!? Seriously!?

Michelin FAN Boy Here! If it was 2020, this would be a 5 star rating. But it is approaching 2027!v This is coming on to being a 10 year old tire - crazy! I needed a new set of tires for my 911. I was about to purchase a 3rd set of PS4S tires. But I then had the opportunity to drive on PSS5s. SHOCKED! I then realized how out of date these 4S tires are. There is even competition now catching up. The OEM spec versions are still good but could be GREAT!! People are still giving these tires 5 stars because they don't know what Michelin could do in 2022...until you ride on a set PSS5s and take them to track day. I am a huge Michelin fan, understand this! But I am a quite disappointed that Michelin made the best in Jan 2017 and keeps selling it because they can, instead of raising the bar when they could, and should! In car racing, when you are winning a race, you don't slow down to win less! You go as fast as you can and win to break the record when it is feasible and safe to do that! It is an attitude that Michelin should have in this category of tire! Don't go drive a set of PSS5s, you will suddenly see what is being held back and you will want to downgrade your recent ratings of this tire. Where is the PSS6 for everyone? I decided to hold off on a new set of tires for a bit longer. I might just go purchase a set of Conti Sport 2 to cancel out of this race to win but slow down mentality! But I do have to say - wow -what a great tire the 4S was to have lasted this long and still beat out the competition! That there is no denial!
