Review Summary

The tires provide a comfortable ride and good performance on dry pavement, but struggle with traction in snow, ice, and wet conditions. Many customers reported poor tread life, with the tires needing replacement well before the expected mileage. Overall, the tires may be suitable for dry road use, but are not recommended for driving in wintry weather or off-road.

A big dissapointment. Hopefully with a positive outcome.

I don't know where to begin with this review. I have always been a fan of Michelin, and i was excited when my brand new F-150 came with them as a factory installed tire.I purposely looked for one that had Michelin over the Hankook option. I am now regretting this, as I am at 9,500 miles, and am having Wear issues, chunking, and age cracking. These have been run from day 1 at the recommended door tag pressure. When the issues began, i took the truck to the dealer to ensure the alignment was not to blame.they confirmed that the alignment was perfect, and rotated them. Problems persist. I have taken this to my dealer and began the process of assistance with these faulty tires. I was hoping that it would be taken care of due to the lack of miles, and properly aligned truck. The answers from the dealer make it seem like I'm going to get the run-around from what i thought was a top tier tire company. The tires continue to wear the edges and i am concerned this will be drawn out and blown off which will force me to stray from Michelin and their partners for all of my vehicles. I would much appreciate a direct response, at which point we can resolve this, or i can put you in contact with the dealer if you would prefer. My goal here is to put tires on this truck that i can trust, and not lose faith in your company. I have added photos, but they really don't make the wear clear. I would gladly have someone from your company see them in person and confirm that they are subpar.

Great

2019 Expedition 55k miles. 6/32 left. Smooth as glass still. Will replace with the same. Defenders ltx have been rough on other vehicles.

Terrible Tires

These came on my 2018 F150. I have 26000 miles on them and I don’t know if they will pass inspection in a few days. There is almost no tread left . I always keep the pressure at the desired location , don’t rip the tires ever. Just pathetic how fast they wear. I bought out my lease so that I didn’t have to put new tires on it and lose it. I still have to replace these now. Very unimpressed.

Disappointed

I bought a new 2019 F150 with these tires on the truck. First thing I noticed was poor winter performance when it came to traction, then after 3,000 miles the tire wear was excessive. Would not buy again.

Great road tire!

I bought these as new take-offs from a dealer and put on my 2016 F150. Far better tire than the Goodyear Fortitude that used to be stock on the F150 in 2015/2016/2017. A nice quiet tread for highway. Ride was decent. Could have been a little better. Wet and snow traction were ok. Not great but not bad either. I got 60K miles out of them and would have kept going, but slashed a sidewall. Upgrade to Defender LTX as my next set.

Tires are garbage!

Came on my 2018 f-150. Great on dry pavement but you'll get stuck on a wet ant hill. Tread loads up easy and it's all downhill from there. Worse part about them is the tire wear. 35,000 and they're bald! Dealer recommended to change them immediately. My dad has the same exact truck bought 3 weeks after me with a competitors tire and he has 3 times the tread with the same amount of miles. Ordered a new truck the exact same as what I have with the only request being any other tire but Michelin.

86,975 miles and still going!!

They came on my 2020 Chevy 3500. Hands down the best part of this truck. I pull campers through all weather conditions including snow from Indiana to the west coast on I-80 and I-90. My truck has all wheel drive and I have never been unsure of my traction. Best tires I’ve ever owned. Starting to shop for Michelin’s again to replace these.

Great Tire

These tires came on My 2018 Chevy Dually when new and I’ve been quite pleased with their performance. I pull a heavy fifth wheel trailer and have not experienced any issues with traction. However, I’ve never had the truck in snow so I cannot attest to their effectiveness in that situation. I currently have 63000 mi on the truck and will be replacing these tires with the same model at I suspect 70000 mi. That should speak for their longevity.

OEM Tires

These tires came on my 2020 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali DRW. I have not been unhappy with them. I do read some reviews that down grade these tires, however, I have had no trouble getting around in the snow this winter (Toledo, Ohio). It does seem that most of the reviews for this tire are for wider sizes. I run a 235/80 R 17 E. The truck also weighs over 8000 lbs. The 235 combined with the weight may be what makes the difference. I currently have about 23000 miles on the set. Tire rotation is only side to side on the Denali due to specific rims for each location. I will likely buy the this tire again unless the Defender LTX M/S becomes available in this size.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, TY. We would recommend getting a tire inspection at an authorized dealer. Please have the dealer contact us at 866-866-6605 to report their findings.

Great on dry and wet pavement

These tires are great for dry and wet pavement quite and good fuel mileage. Snow not so much. Had to dig out my 4x4 F-150 which was stuck in about 6 inches of snow. Had truck in low gear 4x4 with rear locker engaged and truck would not move with these tires.
