Review Summary

The tires provide a comfortable ride and good performance on dry pavement, but struggle with traction in snow, ice, and wet conditions. Many customers reported poor tread life, with the tires needing replacement well before the expected mileage. Overall, the tires may be suitable for dry road use, but are not recommended for driving in wintry weather or off-road.

A big dissapointment. Hopefully with a positive outcome.

I don't know where to begin with this review. I have always been a fan of Michelin, and i was excited when my brand new F-150 came with them as a factory installed tire.I purposely looked for one that had Michelin over the Hankook option. I am now regretting this, as I am at 9,500 miles, and am having Wear issues, chunking, and age cracking. These have been run from day 1 at the recommended door tag pressure. When the issues began, i took the truck to the dealer to ensure the alignment was not to blame.they confirmed that the alignment was perfect, and rotated them. Problems persist. I have taken this to my dealer and began the process of assistance with these faulty tires. I was hoping that it would be taken care of due to the lack of miles, and properly aligned truck. The answers from the dealer make it seem like I'm going to get the run-around from what i thought was a top tier tire company. The tires continue to wear the edges and i am concerned this will be drawn out and blown off which will force me to stray from Michelin and their partners for all of my vehicles. I would much appreciate a direct response, at which point we can resolve this, or i can put you in contact with the dealer if you would prefer. My goal here is to put tires on this truck that i can trust, and not lose faith in your company. I have added photos, but they really don't make the wear clear. I would gladly have someone from your company see them in person and confirm that they are subpar.

Terrible in snow

These came on my 2020 F150. They are a summer tire for dry roads only. They get terrible traction in snow, wer grass and leaves.

z, sorry to read of your disappointment. We'd suggest taking your vehicle to an authorized Michelin retailer for an inspection of the tires. Have the dealer contact us with their findings while you are there.

I recommend this tire

These are the best overall tires I’ve ever owned.

These tires came stock with my 2020 Ford F-150. They have been very safe and reliable. I’ve had several nails and screws in them, they held up well and were easily repaired each time. Also, my wife has hit the curbs numerous times, and we never had any issues with them. The traction has been great in all kinds of driving conditions. They run smoothly, quietly, and they get great fuel mileage too. I just bought a brand new identical set to replace the original ones, and will definitely consider buying them again in the future. Highly recommended!

Poor Tread Wear

I have a similar problem: terrible tread wear. I have a 2021 f150 power boost with less than 22,000 miles. These tires have been rotated twice by the Ford Dealer to get" better trad wear"-HUH! Not much tread left to deal with upstate NY winters. The truck was purchased in May 2021. The good things are that they are quiet and give a comfortable ride, nevertheless, they are too pricey for the service they give.

Poor Tread Life

These tires came on my 2021 F150. Almost 33,000 miles on them and they are already at 4/32. I am surprised and disappointed given that I had a Escape that came stock with Michelin tires as well and I got approximately 80,000 miles on them. I know the vehicles are not comparable, but I had hoped for better.

Avoid if you drive at all.

Received my new 2022 Ford F-150 in April 2023. Just hit 25K KM’s and the tread is worn to the replace line. As they are factory installed, no warranty. Really nice 70K truck and 8 months down the road new tires. Don’t buy this tire.

Poor

Poor tires. They come on my 2020 f150. Got 32k out of them. I would have kept running them if winter wasn't here. I don't think they handled well in the snow at all. I wouldn't ever buy a set of these.

Bad

These tires came stock on my 2021 f150. I have had nothing but problems with them ever since day one. I think every one of them has had to be repaired at least once some of them twice and my truck is at 25,000 miles now and I have one that's leaking right now and I will not put another dime into them, I'll just keep on talking off the PSI until I get my new tires in a couple days.

North Dakota, we're sorry you experienced numerous punctures in the tires that came originally equipped on your F150. We hope you have better results with your replacement tires.

Short tread life

These tires came with my 2022 F150 Powerboost, and now at 31,000 they will need to be replaced. I tow a 21 foot travel trailer, maybe a dozen times a summer. Pretty disappointing, given Michelin’s prior reputation for long tread life, and I now have concerns about replacing them with another set of any Michelin tires.

I recommend this tire

Lasted 60k for me.

These came with my 2018 F150 Lariat. I have 60k miles on it and the wear bars are still not showing. I only tow a utility trailer occasionally, most of my driving is city/highway. No extended off-road driving.

Shot before 30,000

2021 F-150 purchased new w/ Primacy XC from factory. Followed recommended inflation and rear tires are shot well before 30,000. Fronts will also not pass inspection in NC. I do tow regularly (5K lbs) well within the limitations of the truck but apparently these are not the right fit for towing. I have michelins on most every other truck/cars I have but Primacy is not the ticket for towing apparently. They are, however, very quiet but I'm sadden I have to replace these at such low mileage compared to manufacturer spec'd warranty.
