Split fitments – If your vehicle has tires of different sizes on the front versus the rear axles, your tires cannot be rotated as recommended. ZP (Zero Pressure) tires – The maximum mileage warranty for ZP tires is 50,000 kilometres.

Not living up to the mileage warranty

Fit2BeTired - September 19, 2019

These are my 4th set of Michelin tires. I have always been pleased by the ride and the wear. This time is different. At only 27,245 the wear bar is showing and the shop where I purchased them says I need new tires. I paid $788.05 for these tires and expected to use them for a lot longer. I have used the same shop to service and rotate and do alignments. Not a happy driver!

Despite claim not energy efficient

Casch - April 6, 2019

I bought this set of tires 36 days ago replacing all 4 worn out Bridgestone tires. Installation went smooth nothing out of the ordinary but instantly noticed that my MPG went down almost 5 MPG. Took it back and had inflation checked and all was good. They said that after the first 1000 miles or so the tires would "break in". Luckily I drive a lot and put on 2500 miles in a month with NO improvement. Took the tires back to Costco and they were great and replaced them with other tires. It's only been a couple days and already the mileage has improved. On the good side the Michelin tires handle great. However, I drive a lot and have a hybrid to get every MPG I can. Loosing 5 miles to the gallon was unacceptable.

Blowout

Jmc - April 11, 2016

I had a blowout this morning while driving on the expressway. This tire only has ~23,000 miles on it with no damage at all. I'm extremely concerned for the safety of my children given that I had the tire inspected by michelin's approved service location and they found no reason why it blew.

After purchasing the Michelin tires the ride during movement was so improved. It felt as though I was just floating.
