Building on the success and experience with partner teams in the UCI Downhill World Cup, Michelin is launching the new Michelin DH 22 and DH 16 Racing Line tires that will feature Michelin’s latest bicycle tire technologies.
The new Michelin DH 22 tire features updates from the previous version, resulting in a DH tire that’s been completely optimized for mixed-soft terrain. The new Michelin DH 16 includes an all-new tread pattern in the Michelin DH tire lineup, inspired by the original Michelin Comp 16 tire, intended to boost speed on mixed-hard terrain. The Michelin DH 22 and DH 16 also boast the new Michelin Magi-X compound, which provides extra grip at low temperatures[1].
Building on the experience acquired on the challenging tracks and trails visited by the UCI Mountain Bike Enduro, E-Enduro and E-MTB Cross Country World Cups, Michelin has upgraded its tire ranges for these immensely popular disciplines.
Not only are the new Michelin Wild Enduro Racing Line tires lighter and faster than its previous generation, but they also provide enhanced grip in cold weather[1]. A choice of three different new tread patterns makes the Wild Enduro Racing Line range even more versatile to cover all conditions.
The new Michelin E-Wild Racing Line range makes E-mountain bike riding more fun than ever thanks to technologies that facilitate the transmission of power to the ground during technical climbs, while maximizing grip when descending.
The Michelin MTB Racing Line tires are engineered to satisfy the sport's most demanding riders, who are looking to win races or want to improve on a personal level.
Using puncture protection technologies, with a unique and fast-rolling tread pattern, the Michelin Power Protection TLR tire is designed to withstand obstacles on all types of roads thanks to its Michelin Bead to Bead technology reinforcement, which offers puncture and pinch protection. Road cyclists can also expect a tread pattern designed to improve stability and optimized for wet grip, due to the Michelin Magi-X compound. The Michelin Power Protection TLR tire is the most durable Michelin Tubeless Ready road tire – strengthened by a new tread pattern combined with Michelin Bead to Bead technology – and it’s ready to ride in any season.
To meet one of the fastest growing markets, urban commuters will find fun and performance for their city ride with the new Michelin City Street tire, which is eBike-ready. A versatile tire for electric and traditional bicycles, these tires are designed for riders to experience improved puncture protection thanks to the reinforced casing provided by the Michelin City Shield technology. Compared with the MICHELIN Protek Max, the MICHELIN City Street’s braking performance marks an improvement of 10%, with cornering in damp conditions improved by as much as 22%.
