Upper range of cost, but upper range of quality and performance and durability

Great looking tire with the features you're looking for - grip, stability, weather capabilities and performance. Of course, the cost is in the upper range of tires, but with the longevity of this tire and the advantages of the design, it's worth it

Best Tires for my KTM SD GT

I have used Pirelli Angel GTs (excellent grip but crazy wear and low mileage) and Continental Road Attacks (profile causes odd handling issues and similar but not as bad poor wear mileage) on my KTM SDGT, and now with these latest Michelin Road 6 GTs finally found a tire that offers decent mileage and also gives excellent grip and handling. Wet weather grip and behavior is also excellent. I do a lot of fast riding in the twisties and trail breaking and the engine torque tore up the Pirelli fronts in particular like crazy. The Michelin Road 6 GT wear away like normal tires should wear and so far the front has lasted as would be expected. One standout benefit to me is the sidewall strength on this tire. I got a rear puncture in Kentucky last year (no fault of the tire) and was able to ride the bike slowly (without damaging the carcus or wheel) to a motorcycle dealer to get a new tire. The sidewall is that strong!! I am sure Michelin would not recommend this but it saved my butt let me tell you. Very happy with these tires and will continue to use them.

Wonderful Handling in the Rain

Last week on day three of my 2,000 mile road trip, I had constant rain for the entire day. Riding on everything from asphalt county roads to concrete Interstate highways, I did not think once of how the bike was handling as it was almost no different from riding on dry pavement. I did moderate speeds a little, but not because of any handling issues. The bike was solid and stable. The first two days where the temperatures were in the high 90s and low 100s there were no heat-induced handling issues. Performance was rock-solid for the entire week. My 2007 FJR had the Road 3 GT then Road 4 GT. This one has had Road 5 GT and now Road 6 GT.

Best tires I have ever owned!

I purchased my Kawasaki Concours14 last year and it came with Road 6 tires. I had never owned a set of Michelin motorcycle tires before. Well, to say they are amazing is an understatement! I absolutely love them! The handling is incredible and the confidence it brings makes riding the twisties very enjoyable. I ride 2-up most of the time and never have a slip or wiggle, just glued to the road. The front tire was new when I bought the bike and now has 14,000km on it, and it just about to the wear bars! I didn't know you could have incredible smooth ride and grip, and still get great mileage! I would highly recommend Road 6 tires!

Highly recommend the Road 6

I've used PR3's, PR4's, and now Road 6's since they were initially released. The Road 6 riding performance is outstanding...very confident corning and high speed stopping, never a slip. They're mounted to my '14 BMW K1600GT. But the two BIG improvements arriving with the Road 6 GT are 1) tire life and 2) tire performance over the tread life. As to tire life, I was getting no more than 7000 miles out the PR4GT. I changed out my last set of Road 6GT's at 9261 miles. I calculated the rear tire had 1700 miles left and the front tire >700 miles left. But even better, the second item is the tire performance toward the end of tread life was still outstanding - confident in the curves, turned-in quickly, and stopping performance was great.

Matt, thank you for the feedback. The wear of a tire can vary depending on riding style, usage, load, riding conditions, and proper inflation. It is always recommended to take your bike to a local dealer for inspection to see if there could be any underlying conditions.
