Review Summary
The tires provide excellent performance, grip, and longevity. They offer great traction in both dry and wet conditions and handle well at high speeds. Many users report the tires are an improvement over the previous model, with better grip and longer-lasting wear. However, some customers have experienced vibration or humming noises from the front tire, particularly at certain speeds. A few users also reported premature tire wear or blowouts, though these appear to be less common issues. Overall, the tires offer a good balance of performance, handling, and durability, but the vibration problem should be addressed.

Love these tires
Road home in the rain after having them put on even new very good traction. Last a lot longer then Dunlops I use to run. Never any issue in any condition. I ride a 2015 streetbob. It will be the only tire I ever run on it from now on.
Hi Baker, thanks for the great feedback. We're glad you felt confident riding in the rain. Our MICHELIN Commander III Cruiser tire came out on top in the wet grip category in Motorrad's cruiser tire testing in 2020. To make a tire that is excellent in the rain while delivering extraordinary longevity is a difficult task, but I believe your claims prove that we succeeded.

Handling
Much better handling than Dunlops. They stick like glue.Good in rain. Matches Michelin's reputation.

TERRIBLE IN RAIN!!
TERRIBLE in the rain …. Had the rear tire on for a solid 1500 miles…. On our way to sturgis and his some rain going over donner pass in California …obly doing about 40 , going slow, the tire completely washed out from under me and my passenger and ended up going down.. luckily we were hurt and the bike was not to thrashed , we kept going … about 980 miles solid of rain non stop from California into Wyoming ..,,, the tire felt like I was on ice skates floating around , couldn’t keep a straight line. This is with a passenger and tour pack loaded down so there should have been no excuse for it being light…highly do not recommend ,,,,, going back to my trusty dunlops

Concerned
My rear Comander3 has 13,000 miles on it.Noticed a straight line on the center all the way around.

99' Harley-Davidson Softail Evo
Just purchased the Michelin Commander lll Rear Tire. Reviews look great. Paid the price for higher quality.

Great so far
I do not understand all the bad reviews. Just got the tires and rode 300 miles in the mountains of NC on my 2013 HD super glide and was riding 2 up. 8 hours round trip. speeds from 70 on the interstate to 1st and 2nd gear switch backs, no vibration or noise. had commander 2 on it before and the commander 3 handles great. I think hung the curves better will see how they last got 9k out commander 2 it replaced. Time will tell on miles they last.

Horrible...DO NOT BUY!!!
How the heck are you still selling these useless tires. The vibration/hum is a know issue you still haven't corrected. I have one of these sitting in my garage with less than 1k. Support is also just as useless as the tires.

Just cancelled my order with Fortnine order number 1577257878
The HUGE amount of coverage about the vibration/ humming noise in the front tire design issue with these tires. The problem solving people are doing after installing these tires and spending money and the lack of public correction to this from Michelin is crazy. I seen the content covered on YouTube and I would be tempted to cover this topic to on my bike, but now I don't recommend people purchase from Michelin tires with this much coverage I can't find a fix from the company. THAT a huge problem. I guess the last set of Michelin tires for my cars too. to scared to not be refunded for bad tires, to get bad tires and have to deal with it.
HI Nicholas, Michelin is proud of the innovation technology and research behind its tires. It seems like you personally have not had any experience with the MICHELIN Commander III tires on your motorcycle? Please leave a review once you have experience with the tires on your bike.

Front tire vibration
Rear tired lasted over 14,000 miles that's the good the bad the front tire had a vibration at 50 to 55 mph, I rebalanced it several times couldn't get rid of the vibration finally took it off after a couple thousand miles and put Commander 2 Tire on vibration completely gone it's too bad I had to waste all that money on the front tire that was garbage I have had a couple of sets of Commander 2 tires and they are very good it's too bad that Michelin really dropped the ball on the commander 3 I purchased these tires a couple of years ago before anybody knew about all the problems that they have with these front tires so nobody wanted to know nothing at that time kept telling me that maybe I didn't balance it right so I took the tire off and put a Commander 2 on
