Excellent performance in snow & ice but terrible in heavy rain.
These tires work very well in snow and ice on my 07 Honda pilot. I've noticed great stopping performance, smooth & very little road noise. But despite excellent winter performance I had the scare of my life with these tires due their hydroplaning performance! I was caught on a sudden rain storm passing through CT and my vehicle almost hydroplaned twice despite driving under the speed limit due to bad weather. I don't recommend these if you live in places where rain storms are common in winter, these tire shine in very cold temperatures, snow and ice.
Great in Ice & Light snow
Great tires for ice and light snow. I've had these on 3 vehicles now, and they are the best tires ever on ice and light snow. Good in deeper snow and dry/wet roads. Durability is good for this type of tire. One oddity - they do require more break-in than most tires. When you initially have them mounted they make your handling feel vague and odd, give them 100-200 miles and it will be back to normal.

Like the I-2 & I-3 better
Not as good in any winter snow or ice driving conditions as the I-2 or I-3. Rolling resistance (fuel economy) is as good or better than OEM all season tires on my Toyota Highlander Hybrid

Love my new Michelin X-Ice snow winter tires...traction is great in the snow and on icy roads.
Great tires.
I put these on a 2014 Honda Pilot. I planned on taking them off the next summer. But I ended up leaving them on. I was a little worried that they would wear out quickly but 4 years later and 49600 miles they still are pretty good, not down to the wear bars yet. We live in ND, in the country with gravel roads. I just ordered another set to be put on this Saturday. I am very impressed!

Fantastique got a set of X ice when I got on the highway my wife thought I put my summer Michelins back on they are so quiet very satisfied

Très déçu des X Ice Snow
Installés sur un Toyota Prius Plugin 2026, de loin les plus mauvais pneus d'hiver que j'ai acheté !!! Aucune adhérence sur la glace et la neige, j'ai l'impression de rouler avec des pneus 4 saisons ! Très déçu, ces pneus ne sont pas conçus pour lea conditions hivernales qui prévalent ici à Québec !
