Review Summary

The tires offer exceptional performance and grip, providing "untouchable" handling and traction even in spirited street driving. However, they have a very short tread life, are prone to punctures and damage, and perform poorly in cold or wet conditions. Given the high price, these specialized tires are best suited for dedicated track use rather than daily driving.

Tires gone at 2000+ miles.

I have a brand new 2025 Z06 with the Z07 performance package, so comes with the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup summer tires. At 2,400 miles with no track driving and regular aggressive driving (so day-to-day driving, but hitting corners hard, good speed, but no burn outs, no excessive braking), my rear right tire blew out with essentially no warning, other than a slight vibration that started a few miles before the below out. When I examined the tire, both rear tires were worn completely down to the threads and had split. I have NEVER had a car where the tires were done with such low mileage and no track driving. I mean, I have a Tesla Model S Plaid, a Porche 911 Turbo S, and in the past I have owned Vipers, GTRs, and so on, and have never seen this happen to a tire. I think it is a manufacturing defect. Michelin refused to cover it under a warranty. The last set of Michelin tires I will ever own. Shame.

Peace of mind on the track!

Great tire for my track days. I go through several sets a year due to extensive track time and the PSC 2 never disappoints. Grip/Handling/Performance is exceptional on the track.

Good Tire

I owned a set of Cup 2's on a Turbo S and felt good about the overall wear and handling for spirited street driving. They will be on my next vehicle too.

Amazing Tires

Best on Elantra N 2023 gripped the road in the summer like one I’ve never felt. Tires are amazing in rain. Summer tires for sure but worth the price!!!

Good Tire

My GT350R (track only car) has worn these for three years. They’re the best tires I’ve ever run, in street / track designation. Solid break in and heat cycle management will completely avoid some anecdotal tire wear reports.

Z07 C7 Z06

I have two sets of wheels and have the opportunity to bounce from different tires upon application. All though I’ve run other brands and in doing so I must say that I fall back to these for various reasons. For track days and strict summer time driving pilot cup 2’s are marginally better but I find these work very well for the same application with the added bonus that they are much much better for the rain. I recently ran an unusually good competitor track oriented tire, and it was very comparable to the pilot cup, extremely predictable and good all the way around but got caught out in the rain on a road  trip and it became quite the sketch session, wishing I had  my  other wheels with Michelin’s on. The only thing I will say is you need to put temperature in them on colder type days as they’ll brake free quite easily. As far as lasting, I find that they are very good, no complaints whatsoever and I’m looking forward to another set, buy with confidence.

Quick wear

I bought these about a year ago and they're already showing treads

Rick, this tire is an ultra high performance tire with a track treadlife. There are several factors involved in treadwear.

Run Flats are poor performers in autocross

Sub par peformance in autocross as a run flat. Heavy tire with stiff shoulder affecting cornering ability compared to non-fun flats.
