I bought a pair of the Country AT tires because they seemed to be the best I could find on a broke man's budget. I know Michelin makes good tires having owned several sets on my cars over the years and had great results with grip, wear, and noise factors and I was quite surprised when I saw that they also make bicycle tires and even more surprised to see that they were not only affordable to most people, they were even affordable to my budget. I had $50 to spend on tires in order to get my old mountain bike to a road worthy condition when the cvt transmission failed in my car. If you have one, get rid of it and buy a car with a manual transmission! Anyway as I was browsing the usual options for inexpensive tires I came upon a site that was having a sale on these and several other options. I got a set of these for a little over $40 to my door in 3 days. I put them on and noticed right away that they were fairly aggressive tires for what I needed at the time, but they were what I chose so when I wasn't going to or from work or other duties, I decided to see what they could do off road and have been quite impressed. I'm by no means an extreme rider nor do I compete, I just enjoy going places that most others don't, can't, or won't within reason and these tires have handled every challenge that I have thrown them into from slick mud, rocky stumpy rooty tech trails, climbs, descents, water, sand, gravel, and even snow and ice. I cannot say that for any other tire that I have ever had on my mtbs that didn't cost a fortune and even a few of the ones that did cost a fortune. I'm not an extreme rider but I am an experienced rider and cost aside, these are among the most versatile off road tires that I have ridden on. I won't specify any names so as to not upset the brand snobs but I rode a friends brand new Santa Cruz that set him back almost 10 grand and I'd rather have these tires than the ones that were on that bike fresh out of the local snob shop!

Great tires at an even greater value!

I've ridden these tires for a few seasons, and can't think of a better all around dirt tire for high speed fun on any terrain. The open tread grabs the ground like a champion and easily clears mud and debris on its own. What I appreciate most though is the engineering that went into the outside edge of the tread. Stiff knobs that extend down the sidewall bite into the trail, maiking high speed cornering crisp and consistent. Previous to this, I always bought front / rear specific tires and took a gamble based on how much the design resembles a calssic motocross tread. 100% worth it.

My all time favorite XC tires
