Review Summary

The tires provide excellent performance, grip, and longevity. They offer great traction in both dry and wet conditions and handle well at high speeds. Many users report the tires are an improvement over the previous model, with better grip and longer-lasting wear. However, some customers have experienced vibration or humming noises from the front tire, particularly at certain speeds. A few users also reported premature tire wear or blowouts, though these appear to be less common issues. Overall, the tires offer a good balance of performance, handling, and durability, but the vibration problem should be addressed.

No vibration complaints and good mileage

2005 Honda VTX, front and rear 5k a year, 2 seasons on rear and front, very satisfied, wet traction on rear could be a little better but great tires and looking forward to installing on our Road Glide next

“Confidence on every curve”

The best cruiser tire I've ever ridden on." The stability and handling of the Michelin Commander Ill are outstanding - confident at highway speeds and surprisingly nimble in corners. The premium materials deliver excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions, requiring minimal maintenance thanks to even, consistent wear. Miles in, the durability speaks for itself - these tires last far longer than the competition. A no-brainer upgrade for any cruiser rider.

Unmatched stability and cornering!

I switched to the Commander III Cruisers and the difference in handling is night and day. The bike feels much more planted in the corners, and the grip on both dry and wet pavement is incredible. There’s a noticeable smoothness at highway speeds that gives me a lot more confidence on long rides. Michelin really nailed the balance between comfort and performance here."

Nice Tires

I had these on my motorcycle and I never had any issue with comfort. It was a smooth right through and through, with no noise and complete control.

I recommend this tire

Highest Mileage

I am on my 2nd Commander 3 tire. I ride a 2015 HD Heritage. The 1st tire went 12,500 miles which is the most I have gotten and I have tried them all. We shall see what happens with the 2nd tire. The front tire is also commander 3 and has over 15,000 and is up for replacement in the spring. Will go with them again.
