Review Summary

The Michelin LTX AT2 tires have received mixed reviews. Many customers are satisfied with the tires' performance, quiet ride, and traction in various conditions, including snow and mud. Several reported impressive tread life, exceeding 50,000 miles or 100,000 km. However, some customers were disappointed with the tires' durability and tread life, needing to replace them earlier than expected. A few also complained about poor traction in wet, icy, or muddy conditions. Overall, the tires seem to provide a comfortable ride and capable performance, but their longevity and winter/off-road traction may vary.

Michelin A/T2

Bought the A/T2 two months ago to replace the OEM Goodyear Adventurer. I was really looking forward to the change. I've been back to the dealer twice. First time for balance and aweful noise. The second time to try to minimize a distracting road noise. I wish I had bought the Defenders rather than be swayed by the dealer. I have about 750 miles on them and given the longevity of tread life, I guess I'm stuck with an aggravating noise for the next several years. I've been buying tires for over 50 years, with 80 to 90% being Michelin. These are my first disappointing set.

I recommend this tire

These were the original equipment on my F-150 and got over 90,000 miles on them. They are quiet and good in rain and snow.

Thank you for sharing your long‑term experience with the LTX A/T2 tires. The LTX A/T2’s open all‑terrain tread design is intended to provide added traction off road, which can result in picking up and ejecting small stones on gravel surfaces. This is essential in preventing debris retention and enhance durability. When you’re ready to purchase a new set, our Consumer Care team would be happy to discuss tire options that may better fit your driving needs. Our number is 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Great Tires

Outstanding traction in snow and super decreased stopping distance on slick roads.

Traction in winter

Rural driveways are challenging especially in the winter. I need traction on and off the hillside. Snow on top of ice this year locked us in for about a week. Both frigid powder and sloppy melting snow give different gripping issues. At no time did I ā€œsling mudā€ climbing our back fields.
