Quality

30000 miles and I’m still at 70 percent tread life. Amazing tires. I’ll never buy anything else. I’m pulling a 42 ft fifth wheel. It has great traction and I have peace of mind.

TERRIBLE Tires
I have had Michelin tires on all my trucks over the years, these new ones are not the same. Bought 2 in July and 2 in November, truck was shaking bad. Back to Discount tire and the road force value was 40-50 on two of them. Replaced and problem came back within 2 week. Since then they have replaced all 4 again, problem is back. Took to the dealership, nothing wrong with the truck, it's the tires again. Not a happy customer.

Great tire
Could tell a big difference in the ride as soon as I hit the road after installation. Much smoother and quieter than the All Terrain’s I had replaced. The traction during the rain has been great.

Very Poor Traction On Snowy Roads
Bought these to replace factory Michelin Defender LTX’s on my ‘22 Super Duty, which were great and lasted over 60K miles. They are fine on dry pavement, but downright scary on snow covered roads, where the LTX was surprisingly solid. So bad, in fact, that I am considering replacing them after only about 10K miles. I love Michelin tires and would use nothing else on my Audi, but these are subpar.
We’re sorry to hear that the Michelin Defender LTX Platinum tires haven’t met your expectations in snowy conditions, especially given your positive experience with previous Defender LTX tires. While traction can vary based on road conditions, vehicle setup and driving factors, we understand how concerning it is to feel uncertain behind the wheel. We’d encourage you to visit a local Michelin dealer for an inspection and to discuss options that may better suit your driving needs. You’re also welcome to contact our Consumer Care team at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST) for additional assistance.

Government UTQG Ratings do not apply to light truck sized tires.
XL = Extra Load
>> The sizes shown are average design values for tires measured on specified measuring rim widths. Some tires may vary from this value by +/-3% of the section height (affecting overall diameter), and +/-4% of the section width.
>> Section width varies approximately 0.2" (5mm) for every 0.5" change in rim width.
>> Tread patterns are often tuned to accommodate different tire widths. Tires for a particular dimension of a given tireline may vary in appearance from the tire shown in the photograph.
WARNING: Serious or fatal injury may result from tire failure due to underinflation or overloading. To ensure correct air pressure and vehicle load, refer to vehicle owner's manual or tire information placard on the vehicle. Serious injury or death may result from explosion of tire/rim assembly due to improper mounting. Only tire professionals should mount tires and they should never inflate beyond 40 psi to seat the beads. Before mixing types of tires in any configuration on any vehicle, be sure to check the vehicle owner's manual for its recommendations.

Inflation pressure increase must not exceed the maximum pressure branded on the tire sidewall. When a customer requests a replacement tire with a lower speed rating than the original equipment tire, you must clearly communicate to him or her that the handling of the vehicle may be different, and that its maximum speed capability is limited to that of the lowest speed-rated tire on the vehicle. Exceeding the lawful speed limit is neither recommended nor endorsed.
For high-speed driving, additional inflation pressure and possibly reduced tire loading and/or upsizing is required. In the absence of specific recommendations by the vehicle manufacturer, use the following guidelines based on those in the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization Standards Manual.
For speeds over 160km/h (100 mph), load and inflation must be adjusted according to the table below.
S-Speed Rated Sizes:
| Maximum Speed (km/h) | 100 | 106 | 112 |
| Inflation Increase (psi) | 0.0 | 1.0 | 2.0 |
| Load Capacity (% of max.) | 100 | 100 | 100 |
