              Comments about LTX M/S2:

Bought them because my dad had Michelins years ago on his truck and they out performed any other tire he ever had on it. I bought Michelins because of that experience and the fact I haul an 11' camper and needed a good Load Range E tire. First trip out I had to hammer the brakes on down hill in the rain and they stuck to road like glue. Also smooth quiet riding which was important to me because I do a lot of summer highway driving and I didn't want some howling tire to listen to when the windows down. Sorry too new to be able to rate the tread wear.

Michelin LTX is not a winter tire

                    Comments about LTX M/S2:

Michelin LTX are a very smooth running and quiet tire. And tread life seems very good, however I can't wait to wear them out and get something else on my truck. Both their wet pavement traction and their winter traction on ice and snow is about as poor as I've ever experienced. If I didn't have 4wd, I would be in big trouble for straight-line traction in the winter time. But their worst characteristic is that they won't turn. If it's slippery at all, they just plow ahead with no grip. So far these tires have given me many an anxious moment. It's a very good dry pavement tire, but that is where it stops.

                          Comments about LTX M/S2:

Tires on a whole were a good ride, unfortunately they did not hold out to the expected 115K km warranted for. To say the least I thought I was going to have to switch to a different manufactures due to the installer not standing by their warranty retro. After calls to Michelin and the installer Manager, I voiced my concerns that the retro would not be paid. The installer then changed their stance and agreed to pay the warranty retro but would not warranty the new tires. This is where Michelin stepped in investigated and I received the retro warranty and new warranty so I now have 4 LTX M/S2 tires they already feel smoother than the last set. Let's hope in 3.5 years' time they exceed 92K km and I do not have the drama again!!
