Very Poor Wear

By J.Hex

from Canada

Comments about LTX M/S2:

I purchased 4 Michelin LTE m/s 2 and put 38,000km on them. Tires were rotated and have 3/32 on the rear, bald, and 7/32 on the front. The place I purchased the tires say they were not rotated properly. The tires have 115,000warranty. Whether they were rotated properly or not they should last for more than 38,000 km. I believe These Michelin tires are garbage.

Big tear at sidewall under 50,000Km!!!

By TonyD

from Canada

Comments about LTX M/S2:

My tire is Pilot HX-MXM4, 245-40-R18-93V M+S. The tire is on My 2009 MB300E4matic. The front driverside tire had a big tear about half of the outer circle in the inner sidewall. The car itself has 62000Kms, since I use winter tires that means this tire is under 50000KMs for sure. I know the warranty will be expired after 6 years but it is ridiculous the tire won't last over 50000Km and put my life in risk. I contact the customer service they tell me the tire is over 6 years old and there is nothing they can do. So, why you advertise something like 70000, 80000 and100000Km warranties??? These are not cheap tires, I rotate and balance them once a year, the tires have never been driven in winter and it fall apart just under 50K! Shame on you! Will never buy again! I am lucky because the car detect something wrong with the tire pressure so I stopped before I get killed. I was so shocked when I saw the big big tear! If you want a tire will stop you in the middle of nowhere and risk your life then go ahead buy it. Anyone interested to see the photo just ask me, I like to share with you to see how bad the tire is!!!

Only brand and model to buy.

By Rhino

Comments about LTX M/S2:

First experienced tire brand on our 2010 and 2013 GM trucks. Got 130,000 kms on them before replacing. Bough a cheaper brand at time of replacement. No where near the Kms and quality. Big mistake. Went back to the LTX and have switched all our trucks over to this brand type. Trucks get high highway mileage and heavy trailer loads all the time. Best tire on the market for cost against wear and mileage.

  • This three-digit number represents the width of the tire in millimeters (mm), measured from sidewall to sidewall. Since this measure is affected by the width of the rim, the measurement is done when the tire is on its intended rim size. <div><img src="/assets/mi/system/images/contextual-help/R2-width.png" /></div>
  • The aspect ratio is the relationship of a tire's sidewall height to its section width, expressed as a percentage. In this example, the tire sidewall height is approximately 55% of the tire width. The higher the number, the taller the sidewall; the lower the number, the lower the sidewall.<div><img src="/assets/mi/system/images/contextual-help/R2-aspect.png" /></div>
