In the past I’d get as few punctures per year. But with these tires, I haven’t had one flat even though I’ve done 6,000km.

This is the protek MAX with the 5mm belt, not the protek standard, I suspect there is confusion between the two because since switching to the Max a couple years ago I have had zero flats even in winter when the streets are full of glass. I find the belt effectively stops glass fragments and I have pulled fragments out of the tires with no loss of pressure. On the other hand I wish they were a bit more sticky as even with caliper brakes I can easily put the bike in a slide if streets are wet. Overall the puncture resistance and affordability win out for me.

Still tons of tread, just started coming unglued at the side, on a Christiania bike, after less than a year. Would buy Maraton Schwalbe instead.
