Perfect winter tire for my Mercedes EQS
My witer tire set for my EQS uses 19 in rims. These tires have provided exceptional winter traction without adversly affecting the car's handling or comfort. Ice and snow performance is better than the previous Bridgestone LM 25 and dry performance is equivalent which is very good for a winter tire.

Underwhelming Winter Tire
We recently replaced our vehicle and went with a vehicle that suggests a Run Flat tire, I really wanted a Michelin tire and the Alpin was the only one available. To clarify, this is for my wife's vehicle. We had our first snowfall of the year a week or so after install of the tires, I took it for a drive and found it underwhelming, I am a fairly confident driver, my wife however lost all confidence in driving her vehicle and said she didn't want to drive in poor weather. I found when I drove the vehicle it performed very similarly to a regular all season tire. We always run dedicated winter tires on both vehicles, I expected better but I was suspect based on a tread pattern that didn't appear too aggressive, or very deep. There is significant siping patterns within the tire. I suspect this is a tire better suited for climates like BC with lots of rain and minimal snow, rather than harsh Alberta winters. We will be replacing this tire with the new X-ICE Snow and hope to have better results although no run flat version available I am hoping that tire will give my wife the confidence to drive in winter again.
